SubZero Wolf 2012 Heidi Piron Honored As Regional Winner in the Sub-Zero and Wolf Kitchen Design Contest Summit, NJ – March 19, 2013 – Heidi Piron, principal of Heidi Piron Design & Cabinetry was recently named a regional winner of the KDC 2010-2012: Sub-Zero and Wolf Kitchen Design Contest. One of six winners from the North East, Piron’s entry carries the unique distinction of being one of only 54 regional winners. These winners were chosen from more than 1,600 entries received, a record-setting number of entries for the contest that has become the industry’s Oscars. Held every three years, the internationally renowned competition honors designers, architects, and builders who are advancing the field of kitchen design. Piron’s winning kitchen, located in Summit, New Jersey is contemporary in style and remarkable for its use of European Applewood, which was selected for its beautiful color and undulating grain characteristics. The appliances and countertop materials were chosen to complement the wood grain – and to meet the needs of the husband who is passionate about cooking. “This award is a testament to the homeowners, a young, adventurous couple who had the courage to follow their hearts and instincts, instead of replicating something they had seen in a magazine,” says Piron.
